The class presents a YELD high impact training and facilitator model. The YELD conceptual model for high Impact training and facilitation involves a self-reflective process that emphasizes high expectations on the part of the Facilitator and for youth. It is a process that draws on familiarity with social context theory and self-efficacy. Self-efficacy reflects confidence in the ability to exert control over one's own motivation, behavior, and social environment. High impact training and facilitation is vital to youth engagement and leadership development. There are multiple venues in reaching, teaching and developing today's youth. However, given the overwhelming access to information, combined with the various modes of reaching, teaching, and training, learning in general and transformative learning leave much to be desired.
