This class examines leadership from the perspectives of theory and research, your role as facilitator-leader, and engaging youth in leadership development. A noted leadership scholar said more than 30 years ago, “Leadership is one of the most observed and least understood phenomena on earth.” In this 21st century, this statement still rings true. As a facilitator leader, information contained in your personalized Advanced/Attribute Insights profile provides a gauge from which to examine leadership. Studies and experience inform us of the need for youth/young adult leadership development; however, any growth in the areas of leadership development should be both practical and applicable to them.
